Selling Goods or Services Online
You can sell your own products or services from a website and can use PayPal to take easily take credit card payments. The range of goods and services sold varies wildly, just browse through eBay for an understanding of the diversity of stuff sold.
If you don't have your own products, consider getting resale rights to something! Resale rights give you the rights to sell products as if they were your own. Resale programs often come with ready-made promotional material and even complete websites all ready for you use yourself.
You could also consider drop-shipping - this is where you sell a wholesalers products and have them deliver the item to the buyer. They handle order fulfillment and you keep the difference between the selling price and the drop-shippers price to you!
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing has become a massive industry over recent years. You market a product from your website using a customised link to the suppliers website. That special link carries identifies you as the affiliate responsible for bringing in the traffic and subsequent sales so your commissions can be tracked and forwarded to you.
Writing Articles and/or Blogs
Another great way to make money online is to write. You can sell the articles themselves on sites like eLance or you can publish your thoughts in a blog and display affiliate ads or display other ads for a fee. You can also display AdSense ads. The individual ads will be selected by Google to fit with the content of your website so whether write about fishing or pet care or whatever suits you, they can provide you with appropriate ads for your readers and they share the ad revenue with you.
Telecommuting
Some companies have administration and secretarial type task which can be done just as well remotely as they can in an office. Others contract on a per project basis on jobs ranging from software programming to photography. Photography jobs have been pretty lucrative for many and easy to do too!
