Insider Secrets to Making Money Online

The goal of most internet marketing gurus is to create big traffic and convert you into buying their product online with great copy on their websites. Most of them end right there. They are not really concerned with your success (which is midget thinking) after you paid the up front fee.

They prey on keywords that bring people in wanting to make "a few dollars from home" or have a part time job from home that pays $30 to $40 per day. So many people these days are looking for that "quick fix" and think they really are not. This is how these "gurus" make big bucks!

The whole trick is to get you to their site and have excellent copy that empathizes with you. They tell you about how they were scammed and were bankrupt or jobless and did not know where to turn. They tell you a story of how at seemingly the last minute, they were saved miraculously by this system. And they can't believe how easy it is to do! But they actually mean simple. They show you just how simple it is to do. They show you the 3 or 4 step process you can do over and over that can bring $5 or more every time you do it. When you read it you say to yourself, "I can do that". But ask yourself two questions: "who is paying for the transaction?" And "Can I get the info or somebody to show me this information for free?"

One Ebay course I saw had great a great traffic generating model and excellent copy. I recognized that their "easy" system was not that easy. Yeah the 3 or 4 steps were easy to do and only took a few minutes, but there were other steps they weren't telling me about. Like I would have to go find products, list them, drive traffic and make a profit for the seller. I do all the work and when I find a buyer and he or she agrees to buy, then I do the 3 or 4 steps to close the transaction which would take a few minutes. If the transaction makes money, I get a whopping $5!!!! Yee haw!!

You see, they were selling me a course! For $197 I could pay them to show me how to do this. I did a quick search and found that there were groups online that would show me how to do this for free. Just search for them on any search engine using the words ebay groups.

The people who put up this site learned the art of actually making money online. They got great copy on their site probably costing them up to $30,000 or more. They know how to drive traffic so all they have to do is get people to their site and they can make a killing! Unfortunately most buyers are not successful and are unable to get their money back. With a little more effort, they could build a business that creates residual income for them over and over.

Survey sites are a lot like this. You end up paying them for information you could probably get free! And doing surveys ends up being a lot of work for very little money.

Again the trick here is that the big money is selling the "how to" information. Selling information on how to make money online, or flipping houses, or "no money down" real estate is easier than actually doing it! This is what Robert Allen and Carlton Sheets have found out. It is what has made them multimillionaires!!! Now their courses are great and probably help a lot of people because they have actually had success doing what they teach! The point is that too many courses are geared to take money up front for information you can get for free. Almost nobody is willing to mentor you anad that is what you need most!

Here's how you can protect yourself: by using the ABC method:

A. Ask yourself: how can I get this information for free? Search on Google groups under the keywords for that subject or business like "making money doing surveys" and join that group. You will be surprised just how helpful some groups are. Look for the subject or site on Yahoo answers...you may find someone who has paid for the course who will tell you the inside scoop. This has saved me tons of time and thousands of dollars.

B. Be careful of testimonials. Nothing sells like testimonials but sometimes they are made up. If they have a free product give away...try it out and see if you make money with it. If it is not user friendly and keeps hyping up-sells you may want to pass on it.

C. Check for support. Is there a phone number you can call? Email support? Do they give you a hint of the kind of support you will receive when you get stuck?

The days of getting a great job and being paid big bucks by the hour, even online are getting scarce. Soon most of us will have no choice but to work online from our home.
